Return, Refund, and Payment Policy - Nearby Pets India

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, refunds, and payments related to products and services provided by Nearby Pets India. By engaging with our platform and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

1. Return and Refund Policy
We are committed to ensuring the health and purity of pets sourced through our platform. Please review the following conditions for returns and refunds:

1.1. 7-Day Return Policy & Purity Guarantee
Eligibility for Return: Pets can be returned within 7 days of delivery if they have verified issues such as crossbreeding or severe sickness (as defined below).

Lifetime Purity Guarantee: We provide a lifetime guarantee for the genetic purity of pets purchased through Nearby Pets India.

1.2. Sickness & Death Claims​

7-Day Reporting Limit: No refunds will be provided for sickness-related issues reported after 7 days of delivery.

Eligible Sicknesses for Claims:

Puppies/Kittens: Claims are considered only if the puppy/kitten is officially diagnosed with Parvovirus or Rabies.

Exotic Birds: Claims are considered for fungal issues or blood stools.

Required Documentation for Sickness Claims: For any sickness claim, you must provide:

A written document from an authorized veterinarian on their official letterhead.

Veterinary test reports with the official seal and signature.

Failure to submit these precise documents will result in no refund request being entertained.

Death Cases: In the unfortunate event of a pet's death, you must provide a post-mortem report or veterinary documents stating the definitive cause of death. This documentation must include the seal and signature of an authorized veterinarian, along with the registered phone number of the veterinary professional or clinic where the treatment was performed.

Non-Eligible Sickness Claims: Claims for loose stool/vomiting are not considered for any pets. These symptoms can often be caused by factors such as food changes, climatic changes, overfeeding, or indigestion, and are generally not indicative of severe underlying conditions warranting a refund.

1.3. Handfed Chicks Policy
No Returns or Guarantees: Due to the specialized and continuous care required, no returns or guarantees are offered for handfed chicks. Their well-being depends entirely on the customer's proper feeding and handling.

No Compensation for Improper Care: We will not compensate for issues arising from improper feeding or handling by the customer.

1.4. Wounds or Visible Issues at Delivery
Rejection at Doorstep: Pets with visible wounds, blood cuts, bites, or hairless patches can be rejected at the time of doorstep delivery.

Refund or Replacement: If a pet is rejected due to such visible issues at delivery, a refund or replacement will be provided.

1.5. DNA Testing Compensation (Adult Birds Only)
Compensation for Missing Certificate: If a DNA certificate is not provided within 15 days of delivery for an adult bird, customers can claim a refund of ₹150.

Proof of Testing Required: To claim this compensation, you must submit the payment receipt from the DNA testing center.

No Guarantee for Handfed Chicks: DNA testing for handfed chicks is not guaranteed as testing is typically based on feather samples, which may not be feasible or accurate for very young chicks.

 

1.6. Vaccination Compensation (Puppies/Kittens)
First Vaccination: For puppies or kittens under 42 days old, if their first vaccination has not been completed prior to delivery, a compensation of ₹450 will be approved.

Subsequent Vaccinations: Customers are responsible for carrying out the 2nd vaccination onwards with their local veterinarian.

2. Order Modification and Cancellation Policy
2.1. Order Modification

Modification requests will be considered only if raised within 8 hours of placing the order.

 

2.2. Order Cancellation
Cancellation Window: Cancellation requests must be raised within 3 hours of making the payment.

Cancellation Fees:

A 35% cancellation fee will be charged on approved cancellations to cover costs associated with farm payments, transportation, and veterinary checks.

Cancellation at the doorstep or during transport will incur a 100% cancellation fee. The company reserves the right to pursue legal action if this payment is not made.

Scheduling Beyond 7 Days: If pet delivery is scheduled beyond 7 days from the order date, additional food and care charges will apply. These charges will be clearly reflected in your payment receipt.

Unconfirmed Orders: If no booking fee is made within 48 hours of order placement and attempts to contact the customer fail (via call, message, social media, or email), the order will be automatically canceled.

3. Payment Policy
 

3.1. Booking Fee
Customers are required to pay 35% of the total order amount as a booking fee when placing the order.

The invoice will be confirmed only after this payment is received and the pet selection is finalized.

3.2. Cash on Delivery (COD)
100% COD requests will not be entertained. This policy is in place to protect the company from fraudulent orders and ensures commitment from the buyer.

 

3.3. Underage Customers
Orders placed by individuals under the age of 18 will not be processed. This is in line with our commitment to responsible pet ownership.

3.4. Refund Timelines
Once a refund or compensation is approved:

Initiation: Payment will be initiated on the same day or the next working day (excluding Saturdays and Sundays).

Reflection (Domestic): The amount will typically reflect in your bank or the original payment method (UPI/IMPS/NEFT/RTGS/Debit Card/Credit Card) within 5-7 working days.

Reflection (International): For international payments, it may take up to 10 working days to reflect in your international account.

4. Additional Information
Inspection at Delivery: Customers are strongly advised to thoroughly inspect pets at the time of delivery before accepting them.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes or claims regarding this policy must be raised within the stipulated time frames outlined above.

Policy Amendments: Nearby Pets India reserves the right to amend this policy without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review the policy periodically.
